CS 1.6 Team

Just to let you know that our Cs 1.6 Servers Provider have run in to a crisis and at present it does look as though TeamHost has closed down for the foreseeable future, We are at present in discussion which provider to choose and will announce them once it has been decided.

On that note I'd like to thank Dan (Teamhost) for the service and quality they provided us over the years and good luck for the future.

Statement By Dan Of Teamhost.

On Friday the 8 May all our servers sustained an unprecedented DDoS attack and as a direct result of this our transit provider was forced to disconnect our servers. In order to have our connection re-instated we would have had to guarantee to pay thousands of pounds in bandwidth surcharges generated by the continued DDoS attack, at one point of the DDoS attack a surcharge £4500 would have been levied (as our transit provider would also directly incur additional surcharges). And further similar charges would also have been levied running into many thousands of pounds.

For many of those who know me through my online presence you will have seen TEAMHOST grow basically from a bedroom business into a moderately sized business over a period of 4 years. Obviously it is with deep regret and sadness that the illegal actions of a person or persons unknown have not only caused my business to close but to also take away my livelihood especially in the current economic climate.

On a final note to the individual who considers that destroying a business and livelihood is acceptable, just remember what goes around normally comes around - and those proxy servers are just that!

Hope to see you soon.

I hope that Dan does find the culprit(s) and sort them out, that's just my sentiments.
